hmmmmmm...somebody stold my snow!!!

Well, our snow day was an excellent idea and we had a lot of our closest peeps interested except for one small detail.......the lack of the abundance of snow. :o) Even tho there was a little on the ground, we are thinking there needs to be a "be able to make a snow angel" amount to make it worthwhile. Ironically, later in the day the flakes started to fall and so we combined the snow with some "outside at night to show the lights" with my beautiful daughter Leslie. Here are some of the images from that. Fun fun fun!

Sun????? Who needs the sun...or dry weather...or.....

SO....there we were...it was raining....it was dark....the wind was blowing.....and I said "Hey... let's go outside!!"
We were on our way to the Loft and decided to play a bit. Brooke was a real sport and braved the cold and rain for this AWESOME image. It was great fun playing outside at night, and as it turns out, the Christmas lights reflecting off the wet pavement was a plus, too. So....just in case you were thinking that it was too yucky to go outside...think outside the box and have some fun while you are at it!

omgomgomgomgomg

Woweee was it a busy week. Lot's sports pix and stuff. I was able to relax and laugh (alot) at the weekend production of "Little Shop of Horrors". Mr. Zamarelli (the director and head honcho of the music dept and....well...all of the known universe) was actually the voice of the plant and it was hysterical to watch him, because he was reading his lines from the back where no one else could see him. There is a HUGE amount of talent there this year in their senior class. Should be fun to see their upcoming shows, too. My brother and sis-in-law are expecting their first child and we got to see them Thanksgiving day. Strangly, given the chance, my bro would probably call the new baby Optimus Prime. Seriously. Hope you all had a great extended weekend.

So far so good!

Soooo, winter sports pix are rolling along and I have had a blast being out in the schools creating team pix and stuff. United is next Wednesday, but all the other schools we work with are already photographed, EXCEPT the boys from Malvern because their basketball team and wrestling teams can't meet yet cuz those football guys are still playing! YAY! Good luck Hornets tonight in the semi finals.

Winter Photos

So, now that we have some snow on the ground, it reminds me of all the times that I thought it would be awesome to get out in the snow with some of our customers, but didn't really have a way to contact them. Could be somethin different than the same old shots. I see lot's of possibilites! We'll be using our "fans" on facebook to notify people of days that we'll be shooting outside, so if you're interested in puttin on your snowsuit and jumping in the snow drifts, make sure to sign up to be a fan on our Dunlap Photography facebook page.

SNOOOWWWW

I looked outside this morning and was like woooo hooooooo somebody shook up the snowglobe! Too bad none of it stuck on the ground here. I am really looking forward to the holiday season. It always fills the air with hope and Christmas music rocks. period.
Minerva had their Key Club dance last night and it seemed like everyone had a really great time. We were in the lower level of the place with the dance floor right above us and the fixtures were rockin most of the evening! Congrats to the Addie Riley Jobes (Thats a combo of their names Addie Riley \ Riley Jobes ) on being King and Queen. Pix are online of everyone dancing and huggin and stuff.
Useless factoid of the day? Sure I have one. Just checked the pix-o-meter ( not the real name of the counter, but it should be) on my camera, and in the 12 months that I have had it, I have taken 83,300 images. YIKES........my finger is so tired now. It needs a finger nap.

OMG I'm so international

We have the pleasure of knowing Scott Bernard, originally from Carrollton and now, well, he is definitely a world traveler. When I mentioned to him that I had only been to one other country (Canada -and really, can we count that as another country?) he said that he had only been to 32 countries....not nearly all of them. WOW.
Anyway, he is giving his house in Florida away. Technically, he is having a coloring contest for it. There is a $50 entry fee, you color the dancers, and .... if you're lucky you get the house. He has been featured in the New York Times and recently did an interview with a newspaper from Berlin, and he forwarded me a copy of the article and by golly, there is the photograph that we did for him along with a photo byline....IN A GERMAN PAPER! Strangely, my name is the same in English as it is in German...who knew? Scott is magician and does corporate magic all of the world. Verrry cool. His websites are www.experience5.com for his magic and www.howtowinmyhouse.com if you wanna take a shot at it!

Activity Days

Some of my most favoritist days (yes, I know the english was bad there, but that's just how it is) are the Activity picture days at the school. Today I was up at the crack of dawn to be at Carrollton for theirs. Lots of help from the staff there made the morning a blast. Moving around large groups of people seems like it would be a pain, but it's really hysterical.

West Branch is tomorrow.....that should be an awesome all day adventure!

It won't be long before winter sports will be here...geez where does the time go?

Let's get started!

Well, here we go...into the wild world of blogging. This will be the place where I can share some of the images that I'm creating and give me a venue to share the bizzarre things that happen in my life.

My awesome friend Susan Rowe is helping with encouragement on getting this started so mucho props to her. I've been sharing with her about our new Theme Graduation package that has been so well received here. So much stuff to make your graduation party rock!

This whole blogging thing seems intimidating, so hopefully it gets easier!
